What the .... ?
Dangerous Kitchen Music ???
Please have a listen to Frank Zappa’s song “The Dangerous Kitchen” from the “Man from Utopia”-album. An otherwise pretty common place turns into a twilight zone with a bit of fantasy. At night all kinds of unexpected things can happen in the Dangerous Kitchen. Geert van Gaalen, Jeroen van Gessel and Fred Hekket started Studio De Keuken back in 2000, which rapidly became one of Holland's first call-studios for music, sounddesign, audio-postproduction and voice-casting for radio- and TV-commercials, films and other media. Trying to come up with a name for a more internationally oriented Music Production Company and Record Label, and Keuken is Dutch for Kitchen, "Dangerous Kitchen Music" immediately felt right.
We create music and sound design in all shapes and forms.
If you know exactly what you want, we can make exactly that.
No problem. But the “danger” in Dangerous Kitchen Music is....we tend to come up with completely unexpected solutions!
When you really don’t have a clue, that’s when we excel, that’s when our blood really starts pumping faster.
Strange, but true, nowadays creative processes seem to be dictated and ruled by mediaplanners, statistics, formulas, semi-scientific theories and plain fear!
Music might be the last truely organic and creative chain in that process.
Some might see this as a dangerously uncontrollable factor....
We live for it!
